ALDA encourages dentists and their staff to try and secure their vaccine as soon as possible prior to January 18 as the population of patients 75 years and older will be eligible for the vaccine in Alabama beginning January 18 according to the Governor’s press release on January 8.
To schedule an appointment for the free COVID-19 vaccination at a county health department, individuals may call the ADPH toll-free phone number at 1-855-566-5333. Telephone calls are answered from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. seven days a week. Vaccination locations can be viewed at this link, https://go.usa.gov/xARKpand additional specific information, such as what to bring and what to wear, will be provided when appointments are made.
If wanting to be vaccinated at sites other than a county health department, such as a private provider, individuals should contact those sites directly.

Due to such a positive response, the Mobile County Health Department is presently out of the vaccine. However, if you would like to be put on a list to receive the vaccine from the MCHD when it becomes available, please call Ruth at 251- 690-8105.
Infirmary Health has also been offering vaccines to community health care providers on certain days based on availability of vaccines. Call (251) 341-2819 - choose option 2 to schedule an appointment for a vaccine.
Infirmary Health is also providing the vaccine at their Baldwin County locations as well.

County Health Departments in this area are receiving vaccines. In addition to communicating with your primary care physician, we recommend all providers contact your county health department to determine when you and your staff may be able receive your COVID-19 vaccine. County health departments were given up to 500 doses of the vaccine and will provide it to dental staff at high priority.

Fifth District Covid-19 Vaccination Update
Vaccines are available for dentists in the Anniston area at the Tyler center today, December 31, before 3:30 pm. Go to the first floor of the Tyler Center in Anniston and there is a sign in table in the lobby. December 31 is the last day until they get another shipment. Call (256) 231-8666.
Marshall Medical Centers in Guntersville and Boaz have the vaccine available for dentists and clinical staff. Currently they are making appointments for Tuesdays and Wednesdays. 256-753-8008 is the administration office number for more information.
Vaccines will also be offered next Wednesday (1/6) and Thursday (1/7), 7 am - 3 pm, at the Anniston Meeting Center.
